Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting
Each year we attend the annual meeting of the Society for
Neuroscience, where 25,000 - 30,000 neuroscientists gather to
present their research. Information about the trips is

Information about our recent trip to the
2008 meeting in Washington DC (including photos)!
During past trips our students
- met with world-renowned neuroscientists
- V. S. Ramachandran, noted neurologist and author of
Phantoms in the Brain.
- Rodolfo Llinas, neurophysiologist and author of I
of the Vortex.
- William Calvin, a noted theoretical neurophysiologist who has
written extensively on the evolution of the brain.
- Candace Pert, one of the discoverers of the brain's opiate
receptors and the endorphins.
- heard talks by Nobel laureates and other noted neuroscientists.
- interacted extensively with graduate students at other
institutions, gaining valuable insight into preparation for grad
school and/or careers.
- met socially with professors from many universities,
establishing contacts beneficial to graduate school admission.
- presented their research to neuroscientists from around the
globe.
