RECYCLING
AT ALBION COLLEGE
Faculty and Staff
Office paper and cardboard recycling
are provided in each hallway of academic buildings, in computer labs, and
near the mail room of the Kellogg Center. It is beyond the scope of Albion College's recycling program to
provide for employee's trash. Personal and family trash should be
recycled at home through your waste service provider or taken to a
Calhoun
County Road Commission Garage, where recycling bins are maintained.
Recycling bins located in the Nature Center parking lot are intended
for residential student recycling, which is transported there by the
grounds department. They are not intended for community and staff
recycling.
Batteries
Batteries are classed as hazardous waste and as such go to special
hazardous waste landfills. Save your batteries for Hazardous Waste
collections held by Calhoun County four times each year. For
information about these Household Hazardous Waste Collections, the
Community Composting Center, Computer and Electronics Collection, Tire
and Appliance Collection, automotive recycling, and backyard composting
go to www.garbee.com
