Basketball Pep Band

The Albion College Basketball Pep Band is made up of woodwind, brass, and percussion players who have a crazy passion for college hoops and love to play their instruments! The band plays for all women's and men's home basketball games in the Spring semester. Instrumentation for the band varies, but generally consists of 12 to 15 brass, 8 to 10 woodwinds, and 2 to 3 percussionists including a set player and two bass drummers.

In the event that either, or both teams go to the playoffs (MIAA and/or NCAA) the college makes every effort to have the Pep Band there as well. In 2005, the Pep Band played for both men's and women's games through their postseason journey in the NCAA tournament!

All those interested in participating in Pep band for the upcoming year must contact Dr. Sam McIlhagga and be in attendance at the general meeting at the end of the Fall semester. Schedules, rosters, and other logistics are all dealt with at that time.
