Albion College Marching Band
"The British Eighth"

2007 British Eighth
back to ensembles
The Albion College marching band, The British Eighth, performs for all home football games, and other special activities; including parades, pep rallies,
numerous other on-campus and off-campus events. Most recently they marched in
the 80th anniversary America's Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown
Detroit. The British Eighth is open to
all students regardless of major or marching experience. Auditions are held
during pre-season camp for chair placement only. Beginning with pre-season camp held the week prior to the
start of classes in
August, The British Eighth performs a new show for each home football game. This
extremely spirited organization derives its name and marching style from the famed British
Eighth honor guard. The British Eighth is under the direction of Director of
Bands -
Dr. Samuel McIlhagga.
