Albion College
"The British Eighth"
2003-2004

back to pictures & videos

Dr. Samuel McIlhagga was appointed the Director of Bands at Albion College in 2003 and began his work with the British Eighth that summer at band camp. The season was a great success, featuring shows such as James Bond and the musical "Chicago". Cell Block Tango became a favorite to play at both football and basketball games. The band performed at the annual Briton Bash, as well as the City of Albion's Festival of the Forks and Albion Aglow parades. During the spring semester the band members helped to raise money for much needed new uniforms that retain the original British Eighth design and aura.

The 2003-2004 season included drum majors Kyle Koehs and Mike Bieniek as well as Guard Captains Michelle Aleo and Kim Illg. Karl "Kubby" Dickason was the spirit leader. Below is a link to a few pictures from the season.
