"The British Eighth"
Alumni Band

The 2007 British Eighth Alumni Band with guest conductor and
Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Mr. Eric Becher.

The 2007 Alumni Band was a great success! There were many new faces to the alumni band, as well as some old, (not in years) familiar ones. Tim Newsted ('78) celebrated his 30th year as an alumni band member, and Ryan Lewis ('97) celebrated 10 years! The size of the band continues to grow with every year and it is our hope that we can eventually become as large (or larger) than the British Eighth itself!

We all enjoyed each other's company, played some great music by Blood, Sweat, and Tears, and got a chance to work, really work, with Mr. Becher, a former band director himself. As you all know, band is one of the activities/classes on campus here at Albion College that creates a lasting bond among its members, and it is so wonderful to see all of the past members and hear all of their "band stories" and relive a little bit of the Albion College experience. We may have graduated, but we are all still a part of the "greatest marching band in the MIAA!"

Io Triumphe!!!
