Steps in creating your Math/Computer Science portfolio for the World Wide Web:
  1. In a Web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer, view the Web page http://www.albion.edu/mathcs/portfolio.htm.  Select "Save As" from your browser's file menu to copy this file to your h: drive.
  2. Open Microsoft FrontPage and choose Open Web from the File menu.  Then type http://people.albion.edu/your-user-id/ in the Folder Name box.
  3. Enter your network username and password as requested.
  4. Import the file h:portfolio.htm  (use the Import command under the File menu).  Replace the sample entries with your own. Feel free to adapt the format to suit your needs. Be sure to include your name and the current date at the bottom of the file.
  5. Contact any member of the Math Department for help with Web page formatting or advice about the content of your portfolio. The Survey of Computing lab on FrontPage has some basic information about editing Web pages.
  6. Save the modified file as portfolio.htm.
  7. Reload http://people.albion.edu/your-user-id/portfolio.htm in your Web browser to verify your changes.
  8. Include a link <a href="portfolio.htm">Mathematics/Computer Science Portfolio</a> from your personal Web page (if you have one) to your Math/CS portfolio.
  9. Delete these instructions from your Web page.
  10. Inform the chair of the Math Department that you have completed your portfolio. We will link to your page from our departmental listing of student Web pages.
