I am a professor of mathematics and computer science at Albion College. Currently, after a three-semester reassignment to an administrative post as the acting associate director of Academic Computing and the interim co-director of Information Technology, I am on an administrative leave of absence.

In the fall of 2000 I will be teaching two sections of Mathematics 141, Calculus of One Variable (8.10-9.00 AM, Norris 103 and 9.10-10.00 AM, Norris 103) and one section of Computer Science 151, Survey of Computing (1.10 PM-2.00 PM, Norris 103).  Syllabi and schedules will be posted later.

  Schedule

I have lived in Albion, MI, since 1969. I am originally from Wheaton, Illinois.

I received my B.A. in mathematics (1963) from Carleton College, Northfield, Minnesota, and my M.A. (1965) and Ph.D. (1969) in mathematics from the University of Kansas.

I have spent some time abroad:

Mr first sabbatical leave was spent at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN (1977-78) in the GLCA/ACM Science Semester and the second was spent at the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR (1984-85 and the summers of 1987 and 1988) where I was an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science.
