Tenure-Track Mathematics Faculty Position
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Albion College invites applications
for a tenure-track position in Mathematics at the assistant professor level to begin August 2009.
Any field of pure mathematics will be considered.
A doctoral degree in mathematics or closely related field is required.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Startup funds will be provided.
We seek quality applicants
who have demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching mathematics at the introductory
and advanced undergraduate level. Our department offers a variety of majors and
minors in mathematics and computer science.
Individuals with an active research agenda
are sought, especially those with a strong interest in working with
undergraduates. More

The department is located in a recently renovated facility, housing faculty offices and
state-of-the-art spaces for science and mathematics education and research.
Our department has instructional/research computer laboratories running Windows
and Linux. Albion has extensive campus computing facilities including wireless networking and
