Community Dancers of Jackson

Community Dancers of Jackson offers classes for modern square and round dancing. The group also hosts monthly community dances with guest callers and live music.





Square Dancing

Square dance classes are offered every semester through the Community Education program of the Northwest Community Schools. No partner is necessary. Singles, couples, and families are welcome. Beginners should join one of the first two lessons of the series. Experienced square dancers are welcome to attend any of the classes.

Schedule: Thursday evenings.

Intermediate/Plus square dancing and beginning round dancing: 8:00pm to 9:00pm

Community Dances

An informal, family-fun activity for everyone from children to grandparents. No partner is necessary. No experience is necessary. Square dances, waltz, two-step, polka, schottische, circle mixers, and other dances to live music.

Summer Dancing

Weekly square and round dances in the an open-air pavillion. Calling is adapted to the experience level of the dancers, with brief workshops as necessary. Beginning round-dance instruction is also provided.

June 5 through August 28, 2008.

Demonstration Square Dances
