Interlibrary Loan
The interlibrary loan (ILL) service obtains materials not owned by the
Albion College Library for Albion College students, faculty and staff. This service provides photocopies of
articles from journals and newspapers. Books, dissertations, microforms and other materials are borrowed from another library
and made available to the requester for periods of time determined by the lending library.
ILL also supplies items requested by other libraries. Photocopies of articles,
books, and other materials obtained through interlibrary loan are supplied in
accordance with copyright law.

After checking our catalog to see if the college
library owns this item or if it is available from InMich, use this link to order
books, videos, dissertations, theses, conference proceedings, books published
within series, etc.
- Journal or Newspaper Article
After checking our catalog to see if the college library
owns this journal or if it is available in a full text database, use this link
to order journal or newspaper articles, or book chapters.

| INTERLIBRARY LOAN RENEWAL REQUESTS
Renewals for Interlibrary Loan materials may be requested 1 week before the material is due. Because materials kept overdue
jeopardize our borrowing privileges with other libraries, it is imperative that borrowers honor all due dates -
strict fine policies are enforced for overdue materials. Renewals are granted at the discretion of the lending library.

REQUESTS If you need your book or article in a week or less: Please
contact the Interlibrary Loan office directly at 629-0441 or e-mail
ill@albion.edu.

Media—Videos, audiotapes, compact disks
Most libraries will not lend their media materials. If the material
you need is available at a video rental store, you can probably obtain it
faster than through Interlibrary Loan or InMich. However, we are always willing to
try to obtain media.
Frequently Asked Questions about Interlibrary Loan Policies
Important! If you are concerned that your
loan or copy is taking longer than it should to arrive, do not send a
new request without contacting our office first. Sending new requests causes confusion at
both the borrowing and lending libraries.

for a fee. Please remember that if you are an Albion College student, faculty, or staff member,
you may have FREE access to the same material through Interlibrary Loan. Please check with a
