General Science Abstracts
Indexes 150 journals and magazines from the U.S.
and Great Britain, covering such subjects as anthropology, astronomy, biology, computers, earth sciences,
medicine and health, and much more.Coverage is from 1984 to the present. Updated monthly.
Biological and Agricultural
Index Nearly 250 English-language periodicals in life sciences
and agricultural subjects, published in the U.S. and
elsewhere. Includes book reviews. July 1983 to the
present. Updated monthly.
BasicBIOSIS
Includes over 350,000 records from 350 of the core life science journals most easily found in college and
university libraries. Covers the most recent 5 years.
Web of Science
Web of Science (also known as Science Citation
Index) provides keyword and citation searching of scholarly journals in the
sciences from 1986 to the present.
BioOne Abstracts and Index
Indexes only the journals included in the BioOne electronic journal collection. Provides
links to full text articles in that collection.
Expanded Academic Index Full-Text
EAI indexes approximately 3,400 journals and magazines and the New York Times. Full text online is provided for
approximately 2,000 of the journals/magazines.
LEXIS-NEXIS Academic Universe
LEXIS-NEXIS Academic Universe is a system of databases providing indexing and full text for
a large number of U. S. and
international newspapers,
television and radio news transcripts, U. S. court reports
and magazines.
Article1st
Article1st indexes approximately 12,500 journals and magazines, across all subject areas. This
database indicates which journal and magazine articles are available in the Albion College Library.
WilsonSelectPlus
WilsonSelectPlus contains indexed and abstracted articles from over 1300 periodicals, all with
ASCII full text online. The database is comprised of
records from the following H.W. Wilson databases:
Readers' Guide Abstracts, Social Sciences Abstracts,
Humanities Abstracts, General Science Abstracts and
Wilson Business Abstracts. The dates of coverage begin
January 1994 and continue to the present (please note
that each periodical can begin on a different month and
year).

Provides indexing and full-text from scholarly journals in the many disciplines,
including Botany, Ecology, and General Science. Unique, in that coverage for
each journal begins with the first volume.

ECOLEX - A Gateway to Environmental Law
"ECOLEX is an information service on environmental law, operated
jointly by FAO, IUCN and UNEP. Its purpose is to build capacity worldwide by
providing the most comprehensive possible global source of information on
environmental law. This unique resource, which combines the environmental
law information holdings of FAO, IUCN and UNEP , seeks to put this information
at the disposal of users world-wide, in an easily accessible service, employing
modern technology. The ECOLEX database includes information on treaties,
international soft-law and other non-binding policy and technical guidance
documents, national legislation, judicial decisions, and law and policy
literature. Users have direct access to the abstracts and indexing information
about each document, as well as to the full text of most of the information
provided."
EPA - Brownfields Cleanup and Redevelopment
EPA - ECHO Database: Enforcement and Compliance History Online
"ECHO provides integrated compliance and enforcement information for
approximately 800,000 regulated facilities nationwide. The site allows users to
find inspection, violation, enforcement action, and penalty information about
facilities for the past two years. Facilities regulated under the following
environmental statutes are included: Clean Air Act (CAA) Stationary Source
Program, Clean Water Act (CWA) National Pollutant Elimination Discharge System
(NPDES), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)."
GEO Data Portal
"the authoritative source for data sets used by UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme)and its partners in
the Global Environment Outlook (GEO) report and other integrated environment
assessments. Its online database holds more than 400 different variables, as national, subregional,
