Historical Abstracts The most prominent index to articles and books for the field of non-U.S.
history.
Africabib.org Africabib is actually made up of several databases, including
Africana Periodical Literature, a bibliography of more than 42,000 citations
to articles from more than 280 periodicals that "specialize in African Studies or
consistently cover the African continent", African Women's Database "which
provides access to more than 25,000 citations to books and government documents;
articles appearing in edited books; periodical and journal articles;
Masters theses and Ph.D. dissertations as well as a few B.A. theses and honors papers;
conference papers; and videocassettes from 1986 to current", Women
Travelers, Explorers and Missionaries to Africa: 1763-2000: A Comprehensive
English Language Bibliography, and Digital Imaging Project of South Africa -

Expanded Academic Index Full-Text
EAI indexes approximately 3,400 journals and magazines and the New York Times. Full text online is provided for
approximately 2,000 of the journals/magazines.
Poole's Plus - Index of the 19th Century
Poole's Plus currently contains more than 3.7 million citations to periodicals, books,
newspapers (including the New York Times), and government documents from the nineteenth
and early twentieth centuries.
WilsonSelect
WilsonSelect Full Text contains indexed and abstracted articles from over 1300 periodicals, all
with full text online. The database is comprised of records from the following H.W. Wilson
databases: Readers' Guide Abstracts, Social Sciences Abstracts, Humanities Abstracts, General
Science Abstracts and Wilson Business Abstracts. The dates of coverage begin January 1994 and
continue to the present (please note that each periodical can begin on a different month and
year).
