MeLCat is a innovative document delivery program involving over 80 participating libraries -- and still growing.   These academic, public and K-12 libraries have merged their holdings into a single online database that can be searched from any of the libraries' online catalogs.
Through the MeLCat database, library patrons can directly request books from the other libraries in the group without going through the traditional Interlibrary Loan process. When Albion students, faculty and staff request books in this way, the books will be delivered to the Library, and the requestor will be contacted when the book arrives.

To Request Books using MeLCat:

From the Albion College Library’s Homepage :

     • Choose Albion College Library Online Catalog

     • Search for books either by

     • Author, •Title, •Subject, or •Keyword(s)

If the Albion College Library does not have the book (or it has been checked out), you may search the MeLCat database by clicking the    button located at the top of the screen.

If the book is available in the MeLCat database, you can request the item by following these instructions:
