Annual Report
Fiscal Year 2001-2002

Outreach Services
Collaborations
Management
Assessment

The Library annual report for 2001-02 has a different look and form from previous reports.  We are developing a new Web page format for the comprehensive report that we will begin implementing over the next several weeks.  Because there is so much data and information about the library, it will take us a while to set up the various pages and structure the format for ease of use. The Web format will give us the flexibility to present specific elements of the comprehensive report to particular audiences, or to individuals seeking specific facts or updates about library activities and performance.  The Web based approach will also permit us to present this information in a dynamic environment that can be continuously revised and updated. This is an innovative approach to the annual report, and we hope that you will bear with us as we develop the full possibilities for informing our constituencies with the information that they may need about library services, resources, and use.

This report is intended to provide the basic information requested for the annual report in a form that is succinct and easy to comprehend.  Because the library is an academic program and not a department, we have taken some liberties with the guidelines supplied for the report.  This report is not intended to be detail-oriented and reports only the highlights for the year 2001-02 and the goals and issues for 2002-03.  Additional and more comprehensive information will be found in the links from this report.

The report is divided into 4 sections: Outreach Services, Collaborations, Management, and Assessment.  During the librarians retreat this spring, we concluded that this was the best way to present the annual report in a clear manner, free from jargon, and that would cluster the many programs, services and activities of the library into a few basic and easily understood categories.
