TEAMS
Co-Ed:
Each team shall consist of 4 players on a team, with at least two women playing on the court for each team at all times.

UNIFORM & EQUIPMENT

  1. No equipment or uniform which may be injurious to another shall be allowed.
  2. No uniform which is obscene or abusive shall be allowed.
  3. All glasses should be attached to the person by a safety device.
  4. No jewelry is allowed when playing (post earrings, wedding rings, and medicinal bracelets are acceptable).

GAME RULES
Basic volleyball skills and rules apply, unless otherwise stated.

SERVICE

  1. The server may stand anywhere within 3 feet of the backwall.
  2. The server must contact the ball with one (1) hand or arm during the serve.
  3. The serve may strike the side wall, but may not strike the opponent’s backwall or ceiling.
  4. The last person to serve on each team may not block or hit at the net until the next service.

SERVING ROATION

O = Offense    D = Defense

Teammates will rotate service after each side-out.

RALLY

  1. Any volley hit may strike the side wall, but cannot strike two consecutive walls and/or the opposing team’s backwall before striking the floor.
  2. Teams are allowed three hits per side.  A block does not count as a hit.
  3. The ball may be played off the ceiling on your own side.  If a ball hits the ceiling and goes over the net, the rally is lost.
  4. A ball may be played off your own wall.  The ball may strike more than one wall on your side of the net if it is touched by one of your players before going over the net.
  5. Players may not step under the net or touch the net at any time.
  6. Players may not reach over the net to hit the ball.  You may follow through over the net if the ball is contacted on your side of the net.

SUBSTITUTIONS
Substitutions are allowed at any time by either team (“on the fly”).

SCORING

  1. Matches consist of 3 games.  A team must win 2 games to win the match.
  2. Each game is played to 15 points and you must win by 2 points.
  3. You can only win a point when your team serves.

TIMEOUTS
Each team is entitled to 2 timeouts per match.

OFFICIALS
The lack of an Observation Deck means you do your own officiating.  A supervisor is available to answer any questions or solve any conflicts.
