Why did you choose Albion?
I chose Albion because my favorite color is purple. Just kidding! That was not the main reason, but it was definitely an added bonus! I chose Albion because of the academic rigor the school was known for. The people at Albion are very genuine and friendly. I also loved that I could picture myself studying at Albion. I could see myself in the classrooms, in the library, in the dorms, all over the campus. I loved the small-college feel of Albion and also liked the fact that I got personal attention from the professors.

What is your best Albion memory or experience?
One of the best experiences I would have to say was when I went to Mackinac Island with Albion for the Grand Getaway.  I had the honor of going both my sophomore and my junior year, and the alumni I met were so friendly and willing to help a fellow Albionian in any way possible. Another great experience I have had at Albion was joining my sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. I have made long-lasting friendships in the AZD chapter here and memories that could only be appreciated if experienced first hand.

What are your future plans?
I plan on graduating from Albion in the spring of 2013. After Albion, I plan on attending medical school to become a physician. I haven't fully decided on what type of physician yet, but because of Albion, I have dabbled a lot in the fields of oncology, pediatrics, and obstetrics.

How have financial aid and scholarships helped you?
Financial aid and scholarships have helped me immensely throughout my years at Albion. Not only did I receive an automatic scholarship for my academics from high school, but the Financial Aid Office worked with my family and me to make Albion affordable. Yes, college is very expensive, but Albion made it more manageable with the wonderful staffs that work in Financial Aid.

Talk about your path to becoming the SAA President and why you wanted this role?
I first learned about SAA at Briton Bash my freshman year. I was very interested in getting to learn from alumni their experiences at Albion as well as how Albion has changed their life. I love having the opportunity to get to know Albion alumni and see how much they have accomplished in their lives and how it all started by going to Albion. I became very involved at SAA meetings and was the vice president in 2011. I soon found myself nominated to be president of SAA and am so excited to continue enhancing the ties between Albion students and alumni.
