TUITION REMISSION AND EXCHANGE FOR DEPENDENTSSCOPE Full-time faculty and administrative employees. POLICYTuition
remission
is available under certain guidelines
for dependents of full-time employees
who wish to study at Albion
College. There is a two-year waiting period
from date of hire for administrative
employees wishing to utilize this benefit
for dependents. Tuition remission is available to a spouse on a
space-available basis only. Degree-seeking dependents of
full-time employees must meet all of the
regular admission requirements, and
demonstrate satisfactory progress toward a
degree.
For
qualified dependent children of full-time
employees, Albion College participates in
a tuition exchange arrangement
under two programs:
Tuition remission or exchange will terminate at the end of the semester in which a full-time employee ceases to be employed by the College. PROCEDURE Full-time employees who are interested in tuition remission for their qualified dependent at Albion College or a tuition exchange in Program 2 with Adrian, Alma or Olivet College should contact the Vice President for Finance and Management for further information. The Adrian-Albion-Alma-Olivet agreement is based on balance of exchange and it is necessary to determine each time whether there is an availability in the exchange. An employee who is interested in tuition exchange with GLCA colleges or limited ACM colleges (Program 1) should contact the Office of Academic Affairs. Exceptions to these provisions, if any, will need to be authorized in advance by the President or Vice President for Finance and Management.
