Special
Assistant to the President |
|
Albion College (Michigan) has an immediate opening
for a special assistant to the President with a background in higher
education, in-depth experience in project management, and strong
interpersonal skills.
The individual will be responsible for guiding, coordinating and
implementing components of our strategic plan: Albion 2015. The candidate
will work with senior leadership to clarify initiatives within the
strategic plan, establish detailed implementation plans for review
by senior leadership, set priorities for the plan components, and
oversee and coordinate the execution of the strategic plan elements.
At all times, the individual will engage with faculty and staff in
the implementation process.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain insights
into organizational practices and policies of a selective,
nationally ranked liberal arts institution, along with the unique
privilege of assisting Albion College to realize its vision and
mission through successful implementation of its strategic plan.
This is a temporary, full-time position, not to exceed three years,
supervised by the President of the College. The individual will have
college-wide responsibilities in implementing the strategic plan in
coordination with the vice presidents and campus leadership.

| Qualifications Include: A master’s
degree and at least five-years experience in positions that
are consistent with the above duties are required.
Demonstrated project management experience is expected. The
individual will need organizational skills, problem-solving
skills, creativity, initiative, outstanding verbal and
written skills, and high energy. The ability to work
collaboratively with internal and external constituencies
will be necessary for success.
