Visiting
Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing, 2010-11 |
|
The Department of Economics and Management at Albion
College seeks an exceptional teacher who can work well in a
selective liberal arts college with a broad-based undergraduate
curriculum. Visiting one-year appointment at assistant or associate
level beginning August 2010. Continuation of the position beyond May
2011 depends on funding and enrollment.
Duties: Teaching load is three undergraduate courses per semester.
Teaching responsibilities include a marketing principles course and
two or three specialized courses in marketing such as marketing
research, international marketing, consumer behavior, pricing
strategy, new product development, marketing communication, retail
marketing management, business-to-business marketing, services
marketing, branding, and sales force management. We prefer a
candidate who could teach one or two courses in a field other than
marketing; introductory statistics would be our first choice, but it
would also be helpful if a candidate could teach another management
discipline or economics. Advising and mentoring students are also important
responsibilities, as is involvement in the Gerstacker
Institute for Professional Management, an honors program affiliated
with the Economics and Management Department.

Qualifications Include:
- Extensive knowledge of marketing, evidence of
effective teaching, and a graduate or professional
degree at the master’s level or higher are essential.
- A Ph.D. or ABD, an MBA, industry experience, and
