Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting |

The Department of Economics and Management at Albion
College seeks an exceptional teacher who can work well in a
selective liberal arts college with a broad-based undergraduate
curriculum. Tenure-track appointment at assistant or untenured
associate level beginning August 2010.
Duties: Responsibilities include teaching 3 undergraduate accounting
courses per semester (preferably including federal income taxation) and ongoing
scholarship. The person would have the opportunity, but would not be
required, to teach a first-year seminar or an interdisciplinary
honors course in social sciences. Advising and mentoring students
are
also important responsibilities, as is involvement in the Gerstacker Institute for Professional Management, an honors program
affiliated with the Economics and Management Department.

Qualifications Include:
- Extensive knowledge of accounting and evidence of
effective teaching are essential.
- PhD or DBA in accounting preferred; ABD, or MBA with
CPA will be considered.
- Applicants must provide evidence of potential for
ongoing scholarship.
