The Prentiss M. Brown Honors Institute requires a separate application in addition to the one used for admission to Albion College. Our application process requires three steps:

1. Fill out and submit an application. 

2. We know a lot about you from your Albion College application.
     However, objective  data such as your high school grade point
     average or a list of your extracurricular activities do not necessarily
     convey a well rounded sense of who you are. To help us, please
     write an essay of about 400 words that will give us a better sense of
     you as a creative person.

       Essay question: With which literary, historical or film
       personality do you most identify? Explain.

    This essay may either be submitted in a Word document by email to
    rkreger@albion.edu or by snail-mail to:

3. Arrange to have an Honors Institute interview.  Although on-campus
    interviews are  encouraged, telephone interviews can also be
    arranged.  Please call the Brown Honors Institute office at
    517-629-0614 or send an E-mail message to rkreger@albion.edu

Important Dates:
For your application to receive equal consideration with those of other candidates, your essay must be returned no later than March 1, 2008. The interview must be completed by March 1. Notification of your program status will be mailed to you on or about March 22.
