AlumniFrom the Director’s Desk Dear Alums, We continue to offer students an Honors Common Reading Experience. Last semester we read "Cosmopolitanism: Ethics in a World of Strangers" by Kwame Anthony Appiah, Laurance S. Rockefeller Chair of Philosophy at Princeton and Chair of the American Council of Learned Societies. He came to campus September 20th to deliver an all-campus lecture and he will have a special meetings with honors students to discuss his work. This spring honors
students will hold their sixth annual Honors formal--and we're thinking
about a mystery train excursion. One can only imagine the argument as to
"who did it?" I hope the folks who run the mystery train
are ready for us! I would love to show you our renovated upstairs lounge in the old Observatory and have you meet some of our current Honors students-- more than 320 of them at last count! I would also like to discuss with you meaningful ways to
re-involve you in our program and have you share your ideas and
expertise with current students. Why not just drop me an email (gcline@albion.edu)
or a note on Facebook? Gene Cline Director
