Save the Date!
Mark your calendars,
Homecoming 2008 is September 26-28.
Please plan on joining us for Albion College
Homecoming Weekend 2008. If your class year ends in a three or an
eight, this is your year to come back to Albion College! Stroll down
memory lane with friends and get reacquainted with the campus by joining
in on all the traditional Homecoming festivities. Best of all, your
class will gather for a class reunion.
We are working on the initial planning for reunions and class
activities. If you would like to join the planning committee, or have
any ideas for your celebration, please contact the Alumni Office at
517/629-0247 or via online contact form.
Purple and Gold on the Road
This Homecoming, the College will be celebrating
Albion connections in unique settings through a photography contest. We
invite you to submit your favorite photo of you and your alumni friends
in an interesting environment. Whether your photo depicts an alumni trip
to Greece, a recent Detroit Tigers game attended with classmates, a
motorcycle trip through the Mojave Desert with your Albion roommate, or
an annual sailing trip up the coast of Lake Michigan, we want to see
your most creative photo that illustrates an Albion connection or an
aspect of your “Life after Albion.”
Photos will be displayed at the Kellogg Center and
the Dow Recreation and Wellness Center over Homecoming weekend and will
be posted on Albion’s online alumni scrapbook. The top photos will be
awarded prizes. Click here to read
contest rules.

Your Story
Please also participate in our Homecoming 2008 book
drive by bringing your favorite young adult books (for ages 14-18) to
Homecoming registration. (Books will be donated to Albion High School).
Luggage Tags
When you are viewing the photo display at the
Kellogg Center, don’t forget to stop by the registration desk to get a
set of personalized luggage tags. Simply drop off two of your business
cards at registration before 1 p.m. on Saturday, and we will make two
custom Albion College luggage tags for you that will be available for
pick up between 3-4 p.m. at the registration table. These tags are a
great way to show your Briton pride as you travel and may spark
conversations with fellow Albion alumni or prospective students.
Local Alumni Reception
Local
alumni are invited to gather during the All-Class Picnic Luncheon for a
reception at Homecoming. Visit with other Albion-area alumni and learn
about alumni in your neighborhood, their businesses, families, volunteer
efforts, and more. Refreshments will be served.
President’s
Reception
Meet
President Donna Randall at the Homecoming Presidential Reception. Enjoy
snacks and mingle with alumni, parents, faculty, and staff as you greet
Dr. Randall to show her the true Briton spirit.
Black Student Union
Reunion
Black Student Union
members (1973-1978) are planning to reunite at this year’s Homecoming.

Dean Hall 80th
Anniversary
Former residents of Dean Hall are
planning to reunite at this year’s Homecoming to celebrate the 80th
anniversary of this women’s residence. Stay tuned for details on
programming that will mark this special anniversary.

Homecoming 2008 is a great
opportunity to visit the newest buildings on campus. The newly expanded
and renovated science complex and the Nancy G. Held Equestrian Center
will be open for viewing over Homecoming Weekend.
