Little Sibs Weekend
The Albion College Equestrian Club puts on demonstration

Little Sibs weekend is an annual tradition at
Albion College. But until 2007, there had never been an event at
the Nancy G. Held Equestrian Center.
Equestrian Club members Katie Lindow (Canton /
Canton), junior,
Kayla Discher (Plano, TX / Plano West), first year, Kathryn Pflasterer (Ann
Arbor / Community), sophomore, and
Kate Van Ness (Spring Lake / Spring Lake), sophomore all helped to put
on the event which ran from noon until 1 pm.
Popular demonstrations from the club's previous
Giddy Up! event were repeated.
Grooming and a feeding demonstration gave everyone the opportunity to
get "up close and personal" with the horses. For many of the
little sibs, this was their first chance to be so close to horses.
Katie Lindow used her horse Kappy in both demonstrations while Kayla
Discher and Kathryn Pflaster helped those in attendance groom two of the
college's horses.
Kate Van Ness did a brief demonstration of how to
handle horses. Later, everyone had the opportunity to have their
pictures taken with Kate's horse. "I really hope that we can do
another event for next year's Little Sib weekend, " said Van Ness, club
vice president.
