Festival of the Forks Parade

The morning of September 22, 2007 was a gorgeous fall day as members the dressage team, hunt seat team, western team, and equestrian club participated in the Festival of the Forks Parade in downtown Albion. This was the second time that the equestrian program has marched in the parade, passing out candy to kids lining the street. All participants had a wonderful time being apart of such a big event in Albion. Equestrian Club member Kate Van Ness (Spring Lake/Spring Lake) graciously volunteered to ride her horse, Kelly, in the parade. Kids and adults were able to pet Kelly before the parade started. The equestrian club also was able to have the Albion College Equestrian truck and trailer in the parade. All club and team members had a great time participating in the parade and being apart of such a fun community event.
