Olympian Debbie McDonald to Give Symposium

Albion College and the Nancy G. Held Equestrian Center are pleased to announce that two-time Olympic dressage team member Debbie McDonald will present a symposium on "Connection" at Albion on Saturday and Sunday, September 19-20, 2009.

Best known for her longtime partnership with the Hanoverian mare, Brentina, McDonald was a cornerstone of the United States Equestrian Team for many years before her recent retirement from competition in early 2009.

Together, she and Brentina captured team and individual gold medals at the 1999 Pan American Games, then went on to earn a team bronze medal at the 2002 World Equestrian Games, followed by a team silver medal at the 2006 World Equestrian Games.  The pair also represented the United States at the 2004 Olympics in Athens and the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
