Business Opportunities within a Liberal Arts Setting
The Gerstacker Institute academic program has two tracks, an honors program for students majoring in Economics and Management and an honors concentration (minor) in Management for those with majors in other disciplines. Economics and Management majors earning the opportunity to participate in the program take honors courses in economics and statistics and additional courses in accounting, management, business, ethics, and public speaking. They also complete two internships as part of the required courses for the Gerstacker
Institute major. Generally the first internship is completed during the academic year and the second internship is completed in the summer.
Students given the chance to pursue a concentration in the Gerstacker program take a subset of the courses majors do and complete only one internship.
