Favorite Part of First Year:
I would have to say cosmic bowling, lol. But really, my econ 101 H class with Jon Lanning was tough, but definitely rewarding. Jon's class made me smile, laugh, and cry (when grades came out... just kidding!). I enjoyed having him so much that I eventually made him my Faculty Advisor. Oh one more thing, I can't forget my trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina for my First Year Seminar (part of FYE)!!!
Advice to Prospective Students:
Make sure you come for a visit, and if at all possible an overnight visit. Make sure to be open-minded when you come to campus. My first time here on campus was during my sophomore year in High School, and I was not a fan by any means. After taking another visit when I was a bit older, I learned about opportunities on campus, student life, and the Gerstacker Institute. My mind had changed ten-fold. One more piece of advice would be...even though it's a small school, you do not/will not know EVERYONE on campus. That was my worry when I arrived, but found that is not an issue.
