German at Albion College
Welcome to the Albion College German section webpage!
At Albion College students can major or minor in German or a new major that focuses on the acquisition of German language and business skills in an intercultural context.
Our course offerings range from beginning, intermediate and advanced German language courses to a selection of upper-level content and theme-based courses (taught in German) that introduce students to significant cultural and historical topics from a German perspective.
In our 100 and 200-level courses students acquire the basic skills necessary for effective communication in German as well as an understanding of cross-cultural difference. At the advanced level, all the courses we offer have recently been updated to make them more relevant to the German student of today, while also ensuring they receive a solid foundation in German cultural studies and the history of ideas.
