 COMMENTS:

The Marchutz School takes an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to art education. The general purpose of the curriculum is threefold: to enhance awareness of the relationship between perception and imagination, to foster historical and critical perspective, and, above all, to develop the student's capacity to see. Technique is taught in concordance with each student's vision and imagination.

Situated against the flank of a verdant hill, the Marchutz School occupies its own studio building just outside Aix along the route de Cézanne. The atelier is modern in style but maintains a classical simplicity, built of the same stone, stucco, and tile found in the much older buildings of the region.
