Native Speaker Teaching Assistants 2008/2009
Marine Ridoux
Native Speaker Teaching
Assistant for French

Hi, I am Marine the French TA.
My job is to do tutorials for the 201
and 301 students to make them aware of French culture. I also
prepare the weekly activities in the French house (Tuesday from 8h
to 9h, everybody is welcome! ) and of course, organise the French
cultural event during the spring.
I live in La Rochelle. It is an harbour on the Atlantic Coast where
a lot of tourists spend their holidays. Every summer La Rochelle
hosts a famous festival of French songs : “les Francofolies.”
I am 21 and I already graduated in Biochemistry. But I like studying
English since I was in high school that‘s why I would like to spend
a year to discover the American way of life!!
I also practise sailing and I LOVE clothes, and sewing. I make some
of my clothes on my own. I want you to have a great year in the
languages department!
Marine.
of life ».
langues !!
Marine
Alejandra Baldizon
Native Speaker Teaching Assistant for
Spanish

Hey everybody!!!
My
name is Alejandra but everybody calls me Ale. I am going to be one
of the Spanish TAs this academic year at Albion! I’m from Colima,
Mexico; a warm and colorful state located in the pacific coast of my
country.
One
of my greatest passions is Modern Languages and just learning about
other countrys' history and culture. I graduated this past June from
the University of Colima with a BA in Teaching Foreign Languages,
which is why I am so thrilled to be here and start working as
Spanish tutor. I want to share with everybody what my country,
culture and language are all about and I am looking forward to
taking advantage of this amazing experience and meeting new people.
I
am in charge of the tutorials for the 201 classes and I will be
attending a Spanish Language table in upper Baldwin Tuesdays at
noon. Miguel and I are so excited to carry out weekly cultural
activities here at I-House because they will be super entertaining
and fun! They are going to be in the Spanish lounge on Wednesdays
from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. Apart from my Spanish duties, I am taking
two academic classes: African American History and Ethnic Studies. I
am very grateful to have the opportunity to enroll in these amazing
classes which I deeply enjoy and feel strongly passionate about. I
consider myself to be very fortunate to be able to attend a
classroom with American students because it opens the window to your
world and way of thinking and it gives me a wider perspective of the
way of life in the U.S.
I
am sure there are a lot of people interested in learning a little
bit more about my country and our traditions, as well as all our
Mexican slang. So if you want to chat sometime or you just have
questions of anything related to the Spanish Language feel free to
look for me; I live in the I-House, in room 16 within the Spanish
house and my phone number is 629-1493. You can also drop me a line
or two to say hi at
ab20@albion.edu Don’t be shy
I
know this is going to be a great year and I look forward to it!!!
See you soon!
a
ab20@albion.edu No
sean penosos!
ansias!!! Nos vemos pronto!
