French Louisiana: Music and Culture

My research involves looking at
the role of music and music festivals in the culture of French
Louisiana. It is my thesis and FURSCA project. My research particularly
includes interviewing musicians, festival organizers and cultural
preservationists for a first hand impression and eventual analysis of
this culture which is held together by the French language and music. To
do this I contacted many people through telephone conversations, email
and a trip to Lafayette last summer.
