• Why learn German?

The German program at Albion College offers all levels of language courses as well as introductory and advanced courses about the culture, history and literature of the German-speaking world. Our 100 and 200-level courses emphasize effective communication in German, through appropriate language use as well as cross-cultural understanding. At the advanced level, the German section has just finished updating the curriculum in order to ensure that we offer our students a solid foundation in German cultural studies. If students have specific questions about courses and courses offerings they should consult with one of the German faculty members: Dr. Catherine Grimm or Dr. Perry Myers.
