Summer 2009 MAY 31, 2009: The German alumni page has been updated!
Yet another fun-filled year in German is behind us!
Senior-Abendessen im "Dark Horse" in Marshall, April 24, 2009.

Here, once again, a shot of our traditional senior dinner with graduating German majors and minors, plus our trusty T.A. Benjamin Grigo. This year the seniors wanted to have the dinner at the Dark Horse brew pub in Marshall, which was just fine with Marshall resident Dr. Perry Myers, who has been known to stop in at this fine establishment once or twice. Frau Grimm (who took the picture and hence is not in it), was also game and a good time was had by all.
We bid a fond farewell to this group who are moving on to many exciting adventures at home and abroad! Katie Wachter is already back in good ol' Germany awaiting her upcoming nuptial to 100% German (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) Christoph Schinkel. The happy couple will reside in (or near) downtown Rostock, where Christoph will be pursuing his engineering studies and Katie will most probably be teaching English. Sarah Julian, is exploring teaching English in South Korea, while Kim Biache is contemplating a move out west. Margaret Leiby was awarded a Fulbright Teaching Scholarship and so will also be back in Deutschland before too long and Kelly Robbins, who graduated early is enjoying her new full-time job (yes a real job!!) as an Elementary School teacher of German at probably one of the few schools in Michigan that offers German language instruction to the little ones. We hope to see some of her students at Albion in a *few* years time! :-)
All the best to our seniors as always: Congrats to all of you and best of luck in all your future endeavors!
Herzlichen Glückwunsch und Alles Gute!
