After graduating from Albion College in 1989 with a double major in Political Science and History, Dwayne worked on his first political campaign in Warren, Michigan. Following another campaign in 1990, Dwayne moved to New Jersey where he worked for the NJ Republican State Committee, managed several political campaigns and worked in the New Jersey Legislature. Dwayne’s career took a turn in 1994 when he became a regional political director at the National Republican Congressional Committee. During the 1994 legislative cycle, Republicans gained majority status in the U.S. House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years. Following the 1994 legislative election landslide, Dwayne went to work for then House Republican Conference Chair John Boehner (R-OH) as Director of Member Services. After two legislative cycles, Dwayne went to work for Powell Tate, a public affairs firm founded by Jody Powell, President Carter’s press secretary and Sheila Tate, press secretary for First Lady Nancy Reagan. In 2000, Dwayne returned to Michigan, working for Wirthlin Worldwide, a research and consulting firm founded by Richard Wirthlin, an advisor to President Ronald Reagan. Then, in 2001, Dwayne moved to Milwaukee taking a position at Miller Brewing Company. Since 2001, Dwayne’s portfolio at Miller has expanded to include issue management, regulatory affairs, industry communications, executive presentations management, media relations, and government affairs duties for the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. While at Miller, Dwayne has also served as co-chair of the Miller Brewing Company Employee Fund (MBCEF). MBCEF disperses grants to non-profit service organizations in metropolitan Milwaukee. Since its creation in 2001, MBCEF has dispersed more than $1.25 million to organizations serving the four focus areas chosen by employees. Biography: After graduating from Albion College in May 1999, Johnson began studying for a Master's of Divinity degree at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota in June. She completed her Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Ebenezer Luther Hall in Minneapolis and her pastoral internship at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee, Iowa. She also served as a summer campground minister in Alger County, MI, preaching in two National Forest campgrounds and as a pastor's assistant at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iron Mountain, MI. While at Luther Seminary, Johnson founded a chapter of College Republicans on their campus and was named the George W. Bush Activist of the Year by the Minnesota College Republicans for 2002-2003. She was heavily involved as a campaign volunteer for Norm Coleman for Senate. While in St. Paul, she had many opportunities to visit with local Albion alums, especially fellow Ford Institute alum Kirk Myers ('99) and Marc Drummond ('00). She graduated from Luther Seminary in May 2003, and was ordained a minister of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on September 7, 2003. She has been serving the Palmer Suomi Lutheran Parish (comprised of Concordia Lutheran Church in Palmer, MI and Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Suomi located in Negaunee, MI) as a transformational ministry pastor. Currently, she is working on becoming certified as a PraiseMoves instructor. PraiseMoves is the Christian alternative to yoga, and Johnson hopes to incorporate PraiseMoves into her parish ministry. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. Name: Chris Jabin
Biography: Chris Jabin is Senior Vice President, Development for the John G. Shedd Aquarium. Shedd is the largest indoor aquarium in the world and one of Chicago’s most attended cultural institution with 2 million annual visitors. Jabin received his BA from Albion College in Michigan with a concentration in public service from the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Public Service. He has served Chicago’s cultural community for the past 19 years as a development professional. His primary responsibilities include supervising all fundraising, membership and travel programs of the aquarium as well as assisting the CEO and trustees on Board development issues. Before joining Shedd Aquarium, Jabin was Director of Development for the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) where he oversaw the completion of a $50 million capital campaign and a greatly expanded annual program upon the opening of the new building. Prior to his work at the MCA he served the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio Foundation in Oak Park as Director of External Relations. He began his career in Chicago with Lyric Opera where he was Assistant Director of Development for Guild Board Activities and Director of Planned Giving. Jabin’s professional affiliations include membership in the Association of Fund Raising Professional (AFP), the National Council on Planned Giving (NCPG), and the Chicago Council on Planned Giving (CCPG), where he previously served as secretary and treasurer. He has also taught at the School of the Art Institute, Northwestern University and the University of Illinois at Chicago as an adjunct faculty member in their arts administration programs. Woodburn then got a job at Father Bill's Place, a shelter system in Quincy, MA where he was a case manager for the "Shelter Plus Care" voucher program working with individuals with HIV, dual diagnosis, and families to find housing for them and to stabilize them. After 13 months there, he worked for the Brockton Coalition for the Homeless as a case manager for the Tenancy Preservation Program, where he assisted individuals with disabilities in keeping their housing by working with the courts, landlords, housing authorities, etc. As of now, he works part-time on weekends at a group home with five women with both developmental disabilities and mental illness. This means he cooks, cleans, goes on outings, gives meds, etc. Woodburn's full-time gig is at Enable, Inc. He is a vocational specialist where he assists individuals with disabilities in meeting their work goals. He does this by evaluating them in volunteer settings, helping them develop resumes, helping fill out applications, and networking with employers. Once they obtain work, we do onsite job coaching. He is also helping a student transition from high school to community college as well as helping him with his work as a bagger and cashier. On Saturdays, he also assist a young adult in teaching him skills like cooking, cleaning, laundry, travel training, etc.

Name: Larry Lloyd Biography: Larry Lloyd has returned to Albion College. He recently returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom. Serving with D co 1/187 Infantry Regiment, SGT Lloyd was a part of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Lloyd was in Iraq for one year. He was stationed near Tikrit and Bayji as well as Al Fatah Bridge. Over the year SGT Lloyd conducted anti-insurgent operations and trained the Iraqi Army. Larry was a 1998 graduate of Imlay City High School and a 2002 graduate of Albion College and the Ford Institute. Lloyd enlisted in the Army in August 2002. On 13 August 2005 he married Kimberly Degenhardt of Norwalk, WI. He lives in Milan, MI.
Name: Maureen Donohue Krauss
In 2003, Maureen served as the President of the Michigan Economic Developers Association, a 400 member organization that serves economic development professionals throughout the state. She is an active member of the German American and the French American Chamber of Commerce, and is on the Board of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce of Detroit. She is also past Chair of the European Committee of the Detroit Regional Economic Partnership. Maureen has previously worked in economic development positions in Arizona, and Metro Detroit. She has also held a position in fundraising for the College of Engineering, University of Illinois. In 1994 the Arizona Association for Economic Development named her Economic Developer of the Year. She is a currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Rochester Community Schools Foundation. She has also served on numerous community Boards, including the YMCA of Glendale Arizona, Peoria Jaycees, Lions Club, and American Diabetes Association of Central Illinois. Maureen has a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Albion College in Albion, Michigan and a Masters Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
