Ford student Mark Anthony Arceño receives
award at Midwest Model UN Conference: Albion College
sophomore Mark Anthony Arceño, one of two Albion delegates to the
Midwest Model United Nations (MMUN) Conference held in St. Louis,
Missouri, received the MMUN's International Press Delegation (IPD)
Outstanding Delegate Award. Arceño took the role of the African News
Agency in the Fourth Committee of the General Assembly.
Senior Catherine Fontana
wins George J. Mitchell Scholarship. Catherine Fontana is one
of twelve Mitchell Scholars chosen for the program. Nicknamed the “Irish
Rhodes” in the U.S., the scholarship will allow Fontana to spend the
2008-2009 academic year at Trinity College in Dublin,
Ireland, pursuing a master's
degree in environmental science.

Senior Justin Ferriman Awarded NCAA Scholar-Athlete
Scholarship
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has awarded
one of its
prestigious postgraduate scholarships to Albion College’s Justin Ferriman
(Northville), who helped the men’s soccer program achieve winning seasons
the past three years. The $7,500 award, to be used toward graduate school, is
presented to 29 men nationwide who compete in fall sports (cross country,
football, soccer, and water polo) in all NCAA divisions.
Justin is an active member of the Ford Institute, member of the Euphonics a
cappella singing group on campus, and outstanding student. Congratulations
Justin!

National Convention in February
Catherine
is fifth from the left in front of Joseph Biden. Major: Biology & English;
Minor: German; Concentration: Ford Institute & Environmental Institute

Bethany was accepted to seven law schools including
Cornell, George Washington, Boston College, Boston University, Wake
Forest and the University of Connecticut.

Christina Borrelli is
attending University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill,
School of Public Health
Jeffrey Jbara graduated from both
the Ford Institute and the Gerstacker Institute for management. He
accepted a position with a consulting firm in Chicago, West Monroe
Partners. He received offers from two other consulting firms in
Chicago and San Francisco.
