Are you interested in making an impact on your community, your city, your world? Are you motivated to go beyond the surface and what is "required" to learn more regarding topics you feel passionate about? Are you committed to serving others to improve their reality? If so, then please read on and watch our introductory video to learn more about the Ford Institute.

President Gerald R. Ford created the Ford Institute at Albion College in 1977 to provide an opportunity for undergraduate-level students to explore policy issues more fully and to prepare future leaders in all fields though coursework, service, internships and personal mentoring.

Whether your future is in politics, law, education, science or the arts, government policy decisions will impact you personally or professionally. Participation in the Institute will prepare you to analyze and interpret these issues more critically so you can take action.

The Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service has more than 175 student members from a broad range of majors and minors. The program is administered by Dr. Al Pheley, former Robert Wood Johnson Fellow for Policy Research in Senator Jay Rockefeller's D.C. office.
