Federal Work Study Job OpeningsFederal Work Study (FWS) is work opportunity provided to needy students. Jobs may be available on or off campus and innovative community service options are available to interested students. To qualify for Federal Work Study jobs, students must have filed the FAFSA and have FWS included in their Financial Aid Award package. If you are unsure, please contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance. Since the FWS award is a need-based award, other grants or scholarships you receive could reduce or eliminate your award. Your award amount and eligibility may vary from year to year as well depending on the information that is submitted on the FAFSA. As noted above, you must have a work study award to work at one of the community service sites outlined below. Working more than one job or having a smaller award will require you to monitor your earnings closely. Once you have reached your award maximum, you will be required to terminate your employment at the community service sight. You will, however, still be able to work on campus if opportunities are available.
