Albion College Academic Scholars

Albion College Academic Scholarships

Albion’s academic scholarships are awarded to students with outstanding academic records or unique skills, talents, or abilities. You will automatically be considered for the following awards when you apply.

All Albion academic scholarships are based solely upon stated merit, regardless of need. All are renewable each year, subject to satisfactory academic progress. In general, all Albion academic scholarship recipients should strive to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

The Distinguished Albion Scholars Program is an invitation-only competition. For details on how you can be considered, please call the Admissions Office, 800/858-6770, and ask to speak with the representative who recruits in your high school or region of the country.

Distinguished Albion Scholars

Amount: A limited number of scholarships covering from 75% to 100% of tuition. Renewable.

Guidelines:

  • Distinguished Albion Scholars are selected from among Trustee Scholarship awardees and have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements, skills, special talents, and abilities that define a superior Albion first-year student. Additionally, these students will serve as leaders and mentors for others in class, in co-curricular activities, and within the greater Albion community.

  • While most Distinguished Albion Scholars will reflect the highest academic achievement among all Albion first-year students, awardees may possess a unique talent, special gift, or skill or have made an exceptional contribution to their community that reflects the overall mission of Albion College. In some cases a student's exceptional contribution outside of standard academic measures may take precedence.

  • Qualified students who apply and are accepted by January 1, 2008 will be sent an invitation to the competition, scheduled for February 9, 2008.
