- Joining the Albion College F.C.A. Chapter
is simple -- just show up! You can attend a meeting, bible study or F-cubed
event. Meetings
usually are Sundays at 9PM in the 3rd floor Kellogg Center, but get in touch
with any of our
leadership staff for more info!
Do I have to be a varsity athlete?
- While many members of our group are varsity
athletes, in no way must you play varsity or even intramural athletics. Here
at F.C.A. all we ask is that you bring an open heart. (and occasionally a pair
of tennis shoes!)
Do I have to be a Christian already?
- Our group includes a diverse group of
believers, some who have known Christ their entire lives & others just a few
weeks. We are open to seekers (those who are curious) as well as those who
are mature in their faith. We do not adhere to any church doctrine as we are
a fellowship of Catholics, Evangelicals, main-line Protestants & members of
all denominations are welcomed.
Do people ever disagree about beliefs?
- One of the great strengths of our group is
that we come from many different backgrounds. While with any group there will
be differing opinions, F.C.A. supports dialogue and the opportunity to share
faith as we know it. As a fellowship we do not make members adhere to any set
of doctrines, but wish that our members will represent GOD as the athletes
they are!
What is a typical meeting like?
- A typical meeting consists of a short game,
announcements, an opening prayer, a focus time to prepare us for the meeting,
a message prepared by the leadership team &/or a guest speaker, and closes
with
group prayer, usually focused around one of our
sports teams.
- FYI: We like to get started right at 9pm,
so we are able to finish by 10pm, for those with other meetings &/or homework
to complete.
