Visiting speakers give students an opportunities to hear leaders in the field.  In spring of 2000, the college hosted a symposium entitled "Environmental Activism for the New Millennium. Speakers included Robert F. Kennedy Jr., lawyer and environmental advocate with River Keepers; Sandra Steingraber, author of Living Downstream, a book about human toll of environmental toxins; and Robert Cox, former head of the Sierra Club.
Students get a chance to interact with all of our speakers.  Here students from the institute converse with Robert Kennedy following his address.
