PIViT Basics

PIViT is a software program that allows teachers to visually create units that connect curriculum objectives to multiple lessons, activities, and investigations.

It is not possible to view the actual PIViT program itself because it requires an installation of the PIViT software. However, I have included the concept map along with the corresponding descriptions of the curriculum objectives, driving questions, classroom activities, investigations, and archives.

On the concept map, each shape represents a component of the unit (curriculum objective, driving question, classroom activity, investigation, archive). When viewing the project in the PIViT program, one is able to double click on a shape to view a written description or lesson plan that corresponds to the component.
