HyperStudio
in the Classroom 
After completing their neat sheet, students were able to begin working on the computers. Since many students did not know how to type, I had students sign up for typing practice during the last hour of the day for a two week period. I hung a large computer keyboard poster in our room so the students could begin learning where keys were located.
It was very
helpful to also have a large computer lab in our school
where I was able to show the students how to use Hyperstudio as a
whole class. We went to the computer lab twice a week after the
stories were finished. I decided to teach the students HyperStudio by
practicing and perfecting the program step by step. The following
steps describe the process that we went through as a class to create
our final HyperStudio book of Holiday Traditions.
