Mary Schudel is currently teaching the literacy pedagogy classes in the Education Department at Albion College.  She also supervises student teachers at the elementary level.  Mary earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from Ohio Wesleyan University and a M.A. in Teaching Reading from Eastern Michigan University. While at EMU, she worked as a graduate assistant in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.  She has taught in elementary schools in Ohio, New Hampshire, Virginia and Michigan.  At the college level, she served as an instructor in the Education Department at Ball State University for 10 years and at Central Connecticut University for three years.  She is a member of the International Reading Association and the Michigan Reading Association.
