Course Objective
The goal of the course is to give students both an overview of the purposes management information systems serve; and to give them experience working with a specific system. Emphasis is on a coordinated understanding of how information systems design serves management by providing information on business processes.
Course Conduct
The course will consist of preliminary readings and some lecture, followed by the completion of a practice set in information systems using Peachtree Accounting.
Course grade
The grade will consist of a student's percentage of total points achieved as compared to total points possible. Grade components will be one test, one paper and the timely completion of the practice set modules.
