ALBION, Mich. — Students will “Get the scoop on Albion” via an ice cream social hosted by several of Albion’s elected officials and community leaders Thursday, Sept 4, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Kellogg Center. Albion College’s Office of the President, Ford and Gerstacker Institutes and Student Senate are all hosting the event.
Albion Albion mayor Bill Wheaton, city manager Mike Herman, and directors of the Chamber of Commerce, Albion Economic Development Corporation, Downtown Development Authority, Health Care Alliance and Albion Public Safety will dish up ice cream and information about the resources they provide for the community, including students.
"Last year's event was a real success," said Tom Hunsdorfer, special assistant to Albion College president Donna Randall. “The community does a lot to involve our students, and this is another way to have people meet and learn about each other.”
Students who desire more information are encouraged to contact Hunsdorfer in the president’s office, 629-0211.
