Building Description
Bellemont Manor,
formerly known as Haven Hills, was built by George E. and Clark
Belle Dean in 1928. The 30 room structure is inspired by Mrs.
Dean's childhood home in Vermont. After George E. Dean's death
in 1932, Belle Dean and W. Clark Dean and his family lived in
the Manor. After Belle Dean's death in 1961, Clark presented the
Manor to Albion College at Homecoming in November of 1962. Mr.
Dean passed away in Florida in June of 1980. Original
furnishings were left in the house, which illustrate the style
the Manor was decorated when it was built. The Persian rugs and
the beautiful Grandfather Clock are some of the notable items
that adorn the interior of the Manor. Today, Bellemont Manor is
utilized as a conference center for Albion College with lodging
accommodations. Meal service and meeting space can be provided
for up to 75 persons.* |
Building
Description
Haven House is
located across the driveway from Bellemont Manor. Haven is a
lovely 5 bedroom home that can accommodate up to 10 guests for
lodging. Three of the bedrooms have private baths, while the
other two share a bathroom that is located in the hallway. There
is a television room located in the rear of the house as well as
a lovely living room where guests can sit and read or just have
a conversation. Haven offers a complete self-service kitchen and
a lovely screened in back porch where guests can relax and enjoy
a hot cup of coffee.

come, first serve basis for overnight lodging, wedding receptions, and
other events, with catering provided by Dining & Hospitality Services.
