Stages of Development

While what you include in your portfolio is up to you, those assisting you with this project will be looking for some basic minimum information at various stages of development. Think of your portfolio as a file cabinet and a briefcase. The file cabinet is for private use to store self-assessment exercises, goals, and other items that are not currently being used publicly. The briefcase is for public use to store what you currently want to show to others. Keeping reflective information from previous stages of development helps to show progression in development and learning. Below are links to general descriptions of what might be in your "file cabinet" and "briefcase" at each stage of development.

To help you stay on task and keep the portfolio project from being too large, you should develop a timeline. At the start of each semester; determine what you plan to work on and set due dates.
