Registration for the Annual Meeting
September 13 - September 16, 2007

Conference participants are kindly reminded that the annual meetings of CSRI are full service in that all participants are expected to stay together in the same facility (at Albion College for the 2007 meeting), have meals together, attend all conference papers and events, and pay relevant fess with credit card.  Commuter registrants are also expected to attend all conference papers and events and pay relevant fees with credit card.

I. CONFERENCE FEES

Option A:
Full Conference Rate $425.00
Includes registration, room (double/triple occupancy), all meals, and refreshments.

Option B:
Graduate Student Rate $325.00
Includes registration, room (double/triple occupancy), all meals, and refreshments.

Single rooms are an additional $50.00.
(Only THREE single rooms are available; first come, first served)
Airport Shuttles are available at a cost of $20 each way.

Option C:
Commuter Rate $275.00
Includes registration, three lunches, two dinners (Friday & Saturday), and refreshments.
Commuter Rate for Graduate Student $200.00
Includes registration, three lunches, two dinners (Friday & Saturday), and refreshments.

 

II. CONFERENCE SITE & SCHEDULE

The inaugural session will be held at the International House located near the Kellogg Center on Albion College campus. All other sessions will be held in the Bobbitt Auditorium on Albion College campus. For travel directions by car, train, plane, or bus to Albion College, visit this web page.

Since Thursday September 13 coincides with Rosh Hashanah, the conference will officially begin on Friday September 14 at 9 am. However, participants who don’t observe this holiday are expected to arrive Thursday evening.

III. HOUSING FOR PARTICIPANTS

Conference participants will stay (double/triple occupancy) in three Albion College Guest Houses and a local Bed & Breakfast near campus. Two or three people will share a large room (unless they specifically request a single room and pay the single room supplement of $50.00), with shared bathrooms (one bathroom for two rooms). Please note that only a limited number (THREE) of single rooms are available; first come, first served. If you wish to room with a particular participant, please contact Selva Raj by August 20. The college will provide sheets, towels, and soap for each person. If you need fancy towels, please bring one for your use.
 

IV. AIRPORT SHUTTLE

Conference participants are advised to plan their arrival around noon and early afternoon at Detroit metro airport. We will coordinate the arrivals of conference participants and car-pool. On Thursday September 13, two Albion College minivans will be at Detroit airport (E. M. McNamara terminal) to pick up conference participants: one will depart for Albion at 1:00 pm and another at 3:30 pm. If necessary, a third van will be deployed for pick up at 5:00 pm.  For those arriving on Friday morning because of Rosh Hashanah, one mini van will be at Detroit airport at 8:30 am.

A conference representative will be in the baggage claim area of E. M. McNamara terminal at Detroit airport. If you are scheduled to arrive at a different terminal in Detroit, let Selva Raj know by email. On Sunday September 16, minivans will take participants to Detroit airport after the conference that ends at noon followed by lunch. You would want to make your travel arrangements accordingly. Please let Selva Raj know by August 20, if you need airport pick-up on September 13 and drop off on September 16. Airport shuttle will cost $20.00 (each way) which you should pay when registering online.
 

V. REGISTRATION

All presenters and participants are required to register online and pay relevant fees as soon as possible but no later than July 15. Since rooms will be assigned on first come, first served basis, you would want to register early. Presenters who fail to register by this date will have their names removed from the Annual Meeting Program.

Those planning to attend the conference must register online by August 15, 2007. Limited on-site registration for commuters will be available at the Kellogg Center lobby at Albion College during the following hours:
